About Ed Beales
Ed Beales is a private instructor with Pierro’s School of Music in Bayonne. He performs regularly with professional and community ensembles in New Jersey and as a guest trumpeter for sacred and secular events. Mr. Beales holds a Masters Degree in Education and is recently retired after 35 years in public education. Ed and family reside in Bayonne, New Jersey. Ed’s music education includes Manhattan School of Music, Jersey City State College, New Jersey City University. He has studied privately with Jerome (Jerry) Callet, Bob (Bahb) Civilette, Laurie Frink, Jack Morreale, and Al Mattaliano. Beales is currently active as the jazz instructor at The Adult School of the Chathams, Madison and Florham Park and Director of the Chatham Big Band, and President with Chatham Concert Band. Beales Co-leads Marty Hoff and Ed Beales Big Band and preforms regularly with Rules Of Engagement, the Atlantic Horns with Treble and Crazy In The Sunlight, has performed with the Billy Joel Tribute band Streetlife Serenade. Other engagements include the Full Count Big Band, Swingtime Big Band, CBB Renegade Dixieland Jam Band, Linsy Ferris and the Jazz Berries. Show credits include Guys And Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof, The Secret Garden, Adams Family, Hello Dolly, and Singing In The Rain and The Hunchback Of Notredam.
